Mystery Writers of America presents a collection of twenty-three short stories written by its members, edited by bestselling author Linda Fairstein, each dealing with the real drama that begins once the crime is over. 

In Morley Swingle’s “Hard Blows,” a recently released convict tracks down the prosecuting attorney who locked him away years ago. Morley’s story was a finalist for the Barry Award as the Best Mystery Short Story published in 2010.  It also earned an Honorable Mention in Otto Penzler’s The Best American Mystery Stories.
